Palatial French Neo-Classical hand carved mantle and over mantle in beige travertine marble. Lower mantle has two carved female caratids flanked by brown/tan marble inserts supporting two resting lion figures and rosette end blocks. The over mantle features simple multiple acanthus leaf matching corbels and hanging flowers with cabochon floral pediment lifting a highly defined upper shelf crown moulding. At ASI it is our view that the fireplace surround is a serious art form and believe that each home should have at least one mantle befitting its status, for if you wisely invest in beauty, it will remain with you all the days of your life.
